Which band or artist which is no longer performing or alive would you have loved to have seen?

Oh too hard becasue they're are too many choices. Joy Division in some dingy Manchester venue? The Rolling Stones on their 1969 US tour? The Saints at the Paddington Worker's Club in 1977? There's three off the top of my head and it would be simple to keep it coming.
I'm going to get my inner crank out and say that I just find these excercise pointless now. I have no great desire to engage anyore and I think that's partly becasue my going to gigs phase is well and truly behind me at the moment. I'm having enough trouble organising baby-sitting for a friend's warehouse party this weekend let alone contemplating slipping into an unreliable time travel device to see a band in another decade.
I'm a little over smokefilled bars and clubs I have to admit. I enjoy a small intimate space, with people I like playing music I like to listen to. So the horro contained in the thought of popping off to a frenetic Saints show in 1977 Sydney just can't be gotten over.
If I could take all of my friends and we could sit and listen to a show on demand, and we could do all of the silliness we normally do it might look something like this.
Jazz night (hosted by John Thomson in character)
Warm up with Wes Montgomery and Jimmy Smith
The bebop allstars Miles, Mingus, Monk and Bird and their classic drummers, bass players and everyone else.
Who was your first celebrity crush?

Oh defintly Agnetha and Frieda from ABBA. I remember concocting all sorts of ten year old knights in shining armour fantasies to rescue them from god knows what as I clamoured over Countdown or an ABBA special on the teev.
The other critical one was Kate Bush in her Red Sonja style bikini from the Babooshka film clip. I absolutely remember that very odd feeling on prepubescent lust for . . . well I'm not sure what, but I was hella fascinated.
If you could have one superpower, what would you choose?
Submitted by J.T.
This is a tricky question. The obvious ones leap out such as flying, walking through walls and telekinesis. They would all be cool. Then you could probably shoehorn the suites of powers in, such as Spiderman's set of funky powers or even Superman's nigh invincible combo. But I think the suites are cheating on the question. Which one superpower would you have?
Let's start with elimination. No telepathy. One has to be incredibly strongwilled and disciplined and I think the temptation to abuse telepathy added to the constant mental chatter would drive me mad(der). So no telepathy. I'm no Professor X. Likewise empathic powers. I'm too much of a mood sponge already I don't need to be really picking up people's emotions for real, let alone manipulating them. Uggh.
Flight? Cool, but pretty solitary kinda thing. Without some measure of super strength it would be difficult to take someone with you.
Energy projection? Too combat related and I fall firmly into the lover not fighter camp for it to be useful.
Magneto's magnetic manipulation? That would be cool, but I kind of feel that it would best suit a real engineery sort of person. I struggle with building Lego with Thomas.
Cypher's language powers? Cypher was a rather cool and underused New Mutants character (now deceased) who could understand any language. He could speak, read, write and hear anything. I think the writers always struggled to do anything useful with him other than be the object of rescues and bail outs. Hence why he was killed off. A useful power in real life though. I'll have that.
Congrats - TIME Magazine voted you "Person of the Year"! What's your acceptance speech?
What for? A half -assed blog, a sporadic email list and an addiction to email and eBay. Are you crazy?
